Re: Web site suggestions here.

I would suggest that users start posting threads that have simple solutions to common, known issues, without waiting for a question to be asked.

IAC valve, blinking brake light, ac fan won't turn off, doors won't shut right.

Simple and quick is better than elaborate and slow, IMHO.

Elaborate and slow can come with time.

Re: Web site suggestions here.

Hi everyone,

I found with the Siennaclub website that a lot of people never bothered to try the Search function when looking for information.

If we could have a function to sort the topics in alphabetical order or to have subsections by area.

Such as Brakes, Transmission, Oil Change, Air filter, Exhaust etc it may make things easier for people to follow.

Regards, Jason.

Re: Web site suggestions here.

It was enabled but was still being tested to make sure it works before it's announced. Some folks don't know automatically how to "guess" the RSS and see if it's working.

Re: Web site suggestions here.

Is it possible to add a user's/member's location that is visible next to our avatars?

That might be helpful and give perspective to the member's comments. It would also help others identify very quickly if another member is in their same geographic region....which helps create opportunities for more discussion and "community building", as well as localized tips and comments. Currently, one has to drill down into a member's profile to look that info up, if it is shared/listed.

Ain't that the truth. Somewhere, very prominently, it should be noted to PLEASE use search first before posting a question or starting a new thread. Maybe it should be briefly noted during the registration process, and/or before a new thread is actually created in the system (via pop-up msg or something like that).

Unfortunately, whenever a community matures and expands, the amount of info becomes overwhelming and human nature being what it is, most of us are lazy and don't think that perhaps someone else has already talked about the same thing before....for the gazillionth time. It's "easier" for the the new person to ask the same question.....again. And then it gets even more confusing for the next person because now there is even more info in duplicated places.
