Re: Forum Problems (Please post here)

sent via post on problems thread & private message.

GP4camping,

hey there. I have a very experienced friend helping me with fixing a problem you reported regarding your 2nd Gen sienna towing with pics posted.

Can you tell us the following info......................

Your attached photos are they linked from another pic hosting site? where & if so provide the link for us?

We're trying to fix the thread not loading issue on the 2nd gen sienna towing and one other thread someone else posts on. Thanks!
David (Sienna)

Re: Forum Problems (Please post here)

Had trouble with posting a reply.

After composing my reply and hitting [Post], the connection/system would freeze. The only way to unfreeze was to reload the page. This occurred multiple times.....resulting in multiple re-posts.

Thanks.

Re: Forum Problems (Please post here)

Another recurring issue:

Response is VERY slooooooow and ERROR upon trying to post:

Database Error: MySQL server has gone away
File: /home/siennach/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-Post.php
Line: 1464

===============================================

However, upon "reloading" / "re-navigating" to the relevant page, my "post" will appear.

Sorry guys about that topic. I am still trying to contact GP4camping and findout the details to fix a prob with the thread not loading. There is some sort of code error that stalls/freezes because the pics might be either too big or linked from another site that hangs?

Re: Forum Problems (Please post here)

Hmmm....is it "just me" or has the ability to go back and [modify/edit] an old post now been DISABLED??

IIRC, there used to also be a [Modify] button/link available when we looked at our own past posts.
Now, there is only the option to [Quote] that post.

If it has been disabled intentionally, it does make it more difficult to manage some of the "informational" threads and DIY guides some members have already posted or might post in the future. Sometimes there is info that needs to be corrected or added at a later date. To bury the changes and separate it from the original post makes following the thread and instructions more difficult.

Hmmmm.....THAT up above is NOT what I intended my post to look like. I must have been doing some cutting/pasting and it got messed up. Sorry....

Anyway, I think you can still follow what I was trying to say.

Re: Forum Problems (Please post here)

Strange ! My latest post has this 'modify' option.
Let me check whether this one has it.

TEST: this is last line before modification!
==================

...well, this is first line after...

The "Modify" option still works for me!
