2004-2006 3mz-fe not interference engine?

I keep reading around and finding posts that say the 3mz-fe is an interference engine. However, I just got off the phone with a shop who was pretty sure it was not an interference engine. So we both looked it up at gates and it seems that the 3.3L 3mz-fe is not an interference engine. I'm not sure of any other source of information that can confirm or counter the claim by gates.

Can anyone with an even more solid source of info or first hand experience confirm this is true?

Yikes, more conflicting information. The Gates belt webpage says it's not.

Well, I just talked to another mechanic who worked on many toyotas and he says it is. I guess at the end it's better to consider the worst case and just assume it is.
