Question "maint reqd"

My 2014 Sienna (bought in April 2014) and which has almost 20,000 miles has had the "maint reqd" light pop up recently. I assume it is for an oil change (in our case, probably based on time as it has been about 10-11 months since our last oil change with the Toyota Care), but is there anyway to find out without going to a dealer/mechanic? I have that interface cable that connects under the steering wheel that I have made car setting changes with my laptop (can't remember what that is called). Will the program identify what the reason is?

Re: "maint reqd"

It's just a message on a timer. 4500 miles it flashes, 5k miles it stays on. There are instructions in your owners manual about how to reset it.

Current: '15 Sienna Limited Premium (FWD), '14 Subaru Outback, '13 Honda CRV AWD.

Past: '08 Sienna LE (FWD), '02 Subaru Outback, '02 Honda Odyssey EX

^^^
And, in the manual, there are instructions on how to change it to any interval you wish to have.

Re: "maint reqd"

According to the dealer you only need an oil change every 10,000 miles. So when it starts blinking at 5000 they want you to come in for the multi point inspection and tire rotation. And at 10,000 the same plus oil change.

Re: "maint reqd"

10,000 mile interval is the recommended time UNLESS your driving conditions, towing, etc then that lowers the recommended interval.
