2017 Price (Canada)

Hey everyone.

Looking at getting a 2017 Limited AWD, problem seems to be there is zero stock. Have to order to buy. Price is coming in at $53,000CDN + 5% GST. Dealer said firm on price.

Thoughts on price?

Re: 2017 Price (Canada)

Should not be firm on price unless they had to factory order it. The dealers told me I had to wait 4 months, but after I made my deposit.
Its now coming from another provinces (I live in BC). I order 2017 SE, Total discount was $1300. If you leasing its 1.99% with $5500 security deposit u can lower to 0.49 for 39 / 36 months.
I would try talking to another dealership just to compare. Good luck!

Re: 2017 Price (Canada)

Limited AWD is a different baby then the SE model. I can concur the exact same response from dealers that I spoke to. My best advice is check autotrader and select new vehicles instead of used. This way you can select the colour you want and go to that dealership that has it directly.

Because of the rarity if the Limited AWDs in Canada there is no bargaining. They've said usually they're bought and sent directly over seas.

Re: 2017 Price (Canada)

Whatever Toyota I've bought from a local dealer, and that's now 3 of them, we always go invoice + $450.
It doesn't matter if it's a Sienna, RAV4, whatever.
The dealer makes more money on a factory order, due to the floor plan rebate.
If you're not familiar with the floor plan rebate, it's like the holdback as it's sometimes called.
The dealer gets about a 2%-3% allowance from Toyota Canada to help the dealer finance a vehicle that may sit for awhile on the lot.
If the vehicle is sold immediately on delivery to the dealer, the dealer gets to keep that 2%-3% as extra profit, as it doesn't go to the dealer's bank to pay for financing of an unsold vehicle.

I would never pay MSRP for any Toyota.
Sounds like you're in Alberta, with no PST.
There are lots of Toyota dealers in AB who would like your business.

I'm seeing a few different numbers, what is the MSRP on a 2017 Limited AWD?

53 grand...God, that a lot of coin for a Sienna. I got my 2013 base at the end of 2014 with 18.000 km in a sparkling clean condition for about 26 grand. Not trying to sound smart here, just amazed at a difference of the prices for something that does essentially the same job.

First of all, there is no such model as a Limited AWD.
What Toyota sells is called an XLE AWD with the Limited package.
MSRP in Canada is $51715 + freight, PDI, and taxes.

I actually thought you were a troll, not an actual Canadian buyer, who was just trying to stir the pot.
It wouldn't be the first time.
Silly me.

Which dealership did you go to? I went in yesterday to Stampede's Toyota and they were quoting me 50k (GST included) for a 2017 XLE AWD with standard package).

That seems very low for an AWD...almost unbelievable. Maybe pre-GST...even then that is super low. It must not have been brand new.
