Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

Has anyone actually received a call from Toyota to come in and have their cracked dashboard replaced? I have called three times since mid-2015, trying to get my dashboard replaced on my 2005 Sienna. The latest call was today. Each time, I have received the same response - "we will call you when we have the necessary parts."

Just wondering whether anyone else is having any success receiving a replacement dashboard.

I asked to have my 2004 model done over a year ago. I just assumed it was my local (non-responsive) dealership. I suspect that they don't want to tie up a maintenance bay with this particular project. No money in it for them.

Re: Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

Very interesting, we just picked up a 2004 and the dash is all cracked. Can someone post a link to where this is to be replaced under warranty?
I assumed with the age of the van it was not something covered anymore...was there a recall?

Interesting, we just picked up a 2004 and the dash has a number of cracks in it.
Was this a recall? I just assumed that, due to the age of the vehicle, it was no longer able to be fixed under warranty.

Re: Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

I actually got my sketchy Toyota dealer to finally replace my dash. Took a lot of bi#%*ching and many phone calls, but I was not going to let them get away with not making good on replacing my crappy cracked dash. Good luck.

Re: Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

After initially being notified in April 2015 that my dash could be replaced in warranty, I finally got the call from my local dealer in July 2016 & had the dash pad cover replaced in August. Prior to that, I did call call them every few months to be sure that I was still on the list. They told me that the parts from Toyota were slow to come in.
About 3 weeks after having the dash replaced, I was the 3rd vehicle in an accident with a drunk driver. My van was totaled. Since then, I've purchased another 2004 Sienna XLE with 91k miles and am back on the list again to have the dash pad cover replaced.

Re: Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

Toyota does not want to change dash in anything older than 2010. Been waiting 8 mo. for an '04' replacement. Toyota is waiting out the clock for May 2017. Then its too bad, so sad. Who you gonna call then ?

Re: Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

Toyota has plenty of newer Lexus/ Toyota models pre 2010 to cover. If you have an older vehicle- good luck. Been waiting 8 mo. and hear the same reply as others have mentioned. I believe Toyo is waiting out the clock on older models. They will die, scrapped, sold to someone who is not aware, or wrecked. Then Toyo CORP. SAVES MILLIONS.

Re: Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

Six month wait after dealer evaluated my dash for the part to arrive and install about 6 months ago. Looks great.

Re: Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

I inquired at my dealer here in Miami and was told they were expecting a large shipment. Hopefully I will be called soon

Re: Dashboard Replacement Under Warranty

Took my daughter about a year to have her 2006 Solara dash replaced. Had my 2006 Sienna in yesterday for valve cover gasket replacement and dealer said my dash needed replacing. I told him how long it took my daughter to get her dash replaced and he said things are better now...meaning dashes are replaced faster.
