Removing XM satellite antenna/receiver cover

Does anyone out there know the steps to take to remove the satellite antenna/receiver on the roof? Long story short, satellite antenna vs. garage door coming down equals light damage to (I'm guessing) the bracket that holds the antenna tight to the roof.
The antenna isn't loose, but there is now a small gap where the back of the antenna is supposed to fit against the roof. I'm worried about water getting in there now.

I don't know if you still need help but,
I'm assuming you mean the "shark fin" antenna on the rear of the roof? It looks like that one is bolted in from the inside of the vehicle. The instructions i found say to remove the headliner in order to access, but you might be able to get to it by removing the trim at the rear hatch opening and reaching in between the roof and headliner.
