Rear speaker replacement

Has anybody replaced their rear speaker can yo tell me which brand and model you used, i've gone to 2 diffrent installer and none 5 1/4 fit back there, thanks

You didn't say what year model you have, but I replaced the ones in our '04 with Infinity (don't remember the exact model number) and I believe they were 6 1/2's not 5 1/4s. I ordered them through Cruchfield. If you go to their website, they will tell you which speakers will fit.

i have a 2012 sienna, crutchfield says 5 1/4 but my installer had tried fosgates, focals and boston acoustics and none worked magnet is too big

I'm not familiar with the '12. When you say the magnet is too big, is it too big around or too deep. If too deep, find out from your installer what is the maximum depth you have to work with and then you will have to shop by looking at the mounting depth. The three you named typically have larger magnet structures. There are some shallow depth speakers out there. Sony has one that is less than 2 inches and Pioneer, Infinity and Alpine have some that are about 2 1/4 inches. Good luck in your search.

I've purchased Polk DXI that are shallow mount and will be installing them in the rear. Ordered from Crutchfield.

EricM How was the installation go and what did you order? 6 1/2 or 5 1/2 or 4x6?
