Noticed my 2016 only blows cool air through the roof vents when i have the heat on...have read some people say it's designed that way. Can anyone confirm before i flip out? Thank you!
Well, now i've checked all the rear vents and didnt get much heat with the temp set on HI...does it take awhile or something? I just tried it with the van on for a few min, but it was warmed up.
I don't think it is possible to get heat through the upper vents? Does it blow hot air through the floor vent?
You will also find out that you can't get cold air from the floor vent.
Generally speaking, the upper vents are for the cold air/AC and the lower vents are for heat. Unless you override the vent controls.
You have an XLE with auto climate control? make sure the rear settings are set properly. what I mean is make sure you have it set to the right temperature and you are looking at the correct controls. On my 2013, you can control the rear from the main dashboard or from the second row. It all depends on which button is pushed on the dashboard. I'm not the primary driver of our Sienna so it takes me a while to figure out the climate controls......
