2011 Sienns SE Tail light replacement

Has anyone replaced the LED tail lights within the rear door of this model? Left side is out, manual suggests repair should be done by the stealership. Does not appear to be an easy access . Any help would be appreciated. Also, how readily available is/are the replacement bulb(s)? Thank You.

new tail light cost about $200 it's just 2 bolts to unscrew the assembly, don't know how much is stealership's hourly labor rate is $150/hr ?, might be cheaper just to replace the assembly.

Within the rear door ( middle section) are not led, just replace the bulb. You can get the bulb in any auto shop.

Darvinko, are you talking about the actual LED that went out or the bulbs that went out ?

Just the bulbs went out. Only that portion within the liftgate. Manual lists it as a W5W (2825). Not sure how to access it.

Able to figure it out. Popped the panel, replaced bulbs with 2825's (one each side - replaced both sides) from Walmart (under $5.00) and it's good to go. Mowmow, sorry I wasn't more clear. Thanks to you and coolson for the assistance!

It looks like one must replace the entire assembly. I can see no way to replace just the bulbs in this assembly. It seems to be sealed. Is that everyone else's finding.

Thanks!
I can't believe it, it's such a small bulb, I thought they were LEDs and that I was going to have to buy the whole thing!

Thanks again!

Re: 2011 Sienns SE Tail light replacement

I broke one of the taillights, the plastic cover, backing into a mailbox (stupid, I know), the one that's on the tailgate. The whole replacement, was about $200 including labor. Bulb was fine. I was told that the retaining clips sometimes break and are difficult to find. Frankly, I was too lazy to do myself, and considering the taillight was about $100, I figured it'd be at least an hour to remove and replace, so I ended up paying the dealer to take care of it.

I can't believe one bulb lights up that whole piece! I always thought it was led too. Thanks for posting pic.

Very simple, I used some trim tools to pop out the plastic pieces. I only had to remove about 1/4 of the panel to replace one of lights. Lierally took me maybe 10 min from start to finish

I attached some photos, hopefully these will help. The large plastic L shaped piece at the bottom of the lift gate actually needs to be popped out to help loosen the trim. It then just pops back in
