forgot to ask -- where the front wheels was when you pulled out a Sprinter? Was they on a solid surface or on a some kind of sand?

The front wheels were on solid asphalt. The Sprinter had both rear wheels off the pavement onto the sand but at an angle, so when I pulled him out, the rear axle was recovered one wheel at a time. I believe it was a 6 in. drop from the asphalt to the sand.
