2011 Sienna Limited AWD Prodigy Brake Controller Wiring Help

I am in the process of wiring my Prodigy brake controller and am having trouble determining which wire from the brake switch to tap into. I purchase the ETBC7 kit from etrailer.com and I am following the instructions listed here:

    http://www.etrailer.com/faq-etbc7.aspx

It is Step 16 that I am having trouble with. Does anyone know which wire it would be?

    Thanks

Re: 2011 Sienna Limited AWD Prodigy Brake Controller Wiring Help

I seem to recall green with white stripe, but certainly don't trust my memory on that! :o For one thing, I have a 2004 and the brake pedal switch wiring may have changed.

I probed the brake switch connector with a tester, looking for the terminal which went from off to 12V when the pedal was pushed (you can easily move the pedal by hand enough for this purpose)... and tapped that wire. I did unplug the connector to check it out, but don't remember the rest of the details of the testing.

It's nice that eTrailer provides instructions, but so does Cequent/Tekonsha (the Prodigy's manufacturer), and their technical assistance people have been known to answer vehicle-specific questions, so it may be worth a call or e-mail.

The correct connection should be apparent in the factory manual's wiring diagrams, if anyone has access and wants to check. A multi-year ALLDATAdiy subscription to a mediocre copy of the manual online is moderately priced (and cheap if you already subscribe for another vehicle), but 2011 material may not be available yet.
