    where to mount trans cooler?

My 07 awd seems to smell hotter than my old 08 fwd when towing a 3300 pound camper, so I'd best install a cooler. I was looking at the area just behind the black plastic grille down low on the nose and there is a nice bit of metal to sink screws for the upper part, but I'm unclear about securing the bottom.

Any bright ideas or other suitable locations?

My 98 has the tranny cooler mounted into the bumper in the drivers side just in front of the wheel well. This was a factory installed option.

I read that somewhere, seems like it would get about zero airflow, or am I wrong?

I put my Hayden 1678 bottom right, behind the power steering fluid cooling tubes

As I recall the inner fender of a tow-prepped first-gen is louvred for airflow; my guess is that this is a carefully planned installation, but the same general location in a different vehicle would work very poorly.

No there is a vent incorporated into the bumper which draws air into the tranny cooler.
