Pics of sienna se with spacers

Here are some pics of the spacers installed on my Sienna SE. I think they came out great.
15mm on the front, 20mm on the rear. Mechanic installed them (simple bolt on).
Drives well, and car looks "wider", $300 well spent.

Nice. Where did you get the spacers from? I noticed you are in Toronto so am I. We need to get all the Toronto Sienna's together for a meet and show off all the cup holders that we have. Also after the spacers were the studs still long enought to get a few turns of the lug nut?

I got it from KHF, a performance/stereo shop in Markham-pm me for details. They took control of the spacers and knew what would look good eg- staggered fitment. As far as the studs not totally sure, but I am confident in they're work. Besides to save stud thread, I'm sure they wouldn't have put 20mm on the rear, and just kept it 15mm all around.
Yeah lets hook the vans up! I steal it away from my kids already so I can use all the toys I put it in it,lol---and yeah.. I draw all the shades too for effect-lol.

Actually called my guy there today, and these were a direct bolt-on spacer that has its own studs. They bolt-on to the original wheel studs. The spacers studs are normal length studs.

That means that they're not just spacer plates but adapters (which is good). Adapters are usually used to adapt a wheel of one bolt pattern to a hub of a different pattern... but in this case the bolt pattern is the same on both sides. There are many suppliers of these, such as A-Dapt-It... although in that particular brand it appears that the adapter has a plain centre hole so the wheels will not be hub-centred. I wouldn't use them on a Sienna for that reason alone.

The studs would not be nearly long enough to safely insert even 10 mm of spacer. In this approach, the adapter must be at least as thick as the studs are long, so I guess they must not stick more than 20 mm out from the hub, and thus the Sienna's studs (and the nuts on them) end up recessed in the adapter.

Changing offset this way at the front adversely affects steering and handling; it adversely affects bearing life both front and back by shifting the load off the bearing centre.

The car feels like it handles better too. Never got a real chance to compare to without the "adapters" (spacers-lol), but the car now has a wider track, so it should---shouldn't it?
Anyways, especially with an SE, the wheels without spacers look worse from the side cause of the how low the body goes around the fenders because of the skirts.
In the end this only matters because the Sienna is a good looking design, otherwise we wouldn't care that much.

They are hubcentric (as the description mentions): you can see the lip protruding on the stud side, which matches the hole in the centre of the wheel and locates the wheel centred on the hub... if the dimensions are right (it says they're for Toyota, so one would hope that they are). I would carefully measure them before using them, if I were to decide to use this type of item.

One note: I've only spent a few seconds of mentally picturing the geometry, but I don't see how spacing the wheels out (thus moving the tire contact patches out), will lower the roll center as claimed (especially in the rear). With the Sienna's independent suspension design it will slightly increase the roll stiffness while also increasing the track and thus reduce the amount of roll for a given lateral acceleration. By the way, lowering the roll centre causes more roll in a corner. I don't think the seller knows what "roll center" means (they don't know what aluminum alloy temper designations mean)... but hey, it's eBay, the actual seller could be anyone.

No he didn't have to. The 19" SE's are my dedicated winters. I wouldn't have done it otherwise just in case I didn't use the spacers for my 20" inch summer wheels that I'm looking to buy right now.
