Hi all, Someone hit my drivers side mirror and broke the glass. the housing unit is completely intact, and all electrical works just fine. only thing is the spider web like look of the glass. Snow, ice, freezing rain, and frigid temperatures make winter driving treacherous; nevertheless you're prepared, right? But what about your wiper blades? If they're the same ones that baked on your windshield all summer then you could be in for problems. How do you know if your wiper blades...

  5. Problems, Maintenance, and Repair (Gen 3)
I was giving the van a good cleaning the other day and noticed that there appears to be some circular voids in the tinted portion of the windshield. Has anyone noticed anything similar? There are scattered in a non-specific pattern. Any thoughts?
  6. Sienna Insiders (TSBs & Other Info)
This TSB repairs the front door glass run. This is the visible rubber gasket that the window glass slides in to provide an air and water seal. The failure is when the glass run detaches from the door frame.

I have searched and read lots of old threads pertaining to the mirror glass and the black tabs that hold it to the mirror motor. I have taken it apart but looking for advice for the easiest way to fix my broken mirror. So here is my problem. My wife hit the drivers side mirror on the garage see...

I scratch the mirror glass on the 2013 sienna XLE. I ordered the replacement glass (which comes with the mounting case). Is it diffcult to replace? I took a quick look and it appears to be pretty simple. I cannot find any diagrams for 2011 and newer models. Thanks for any tips.
  9. General Discussion (Gen 2)
Hi Sienna folks, I am happy with our recent purchase of a used 09 Sienna Limited. Yesterday I noticed that near the very bottom center of our front windshield is a marking "PGW". Doing a search via internets it looks like this windshield was manufactured by Pittsburg Glass Works. My...
  10. General Discussion (Gen 3)
I'm the proud owner of an used '11 Sienna LE. I'm looking forwarding to modding it soon and have already picked up lots of idea from this forum. One of the first I like to add is to tint the windows as the front is clear, and the back have the privacy glass. Initially, I was just going to...

I am looking to install a glass mount antenna and wanted to verify the tint is not metalic or "passivated". This is on a 2012 Sienna LE AWD. Thanks, Will

I have an issue with the passenger mirror on my 2005 Sienna XLE. I am replacing just the mirror glass, not the entire mirror and housing. There are 8 clips on the mirror and 8 posts to clip them to. Problem I am having is... I can't get them to clip in. I do the top two first (they have the...

The attachments are the GBS installation instructions, Owners Guide, Electrical Wiring Diagram (EWD) and Connectors, and Troubleshooting Guide. I installed one of these in my 2006 Limited and it was a real pain. This one was built into the design and is way easier.
  14. Sienna Insiders (TSBs & Other Info)
The appearance of spots in tempered glass (when viewed at certain angles) is the result of the heat treating and quick quenching process during manufacturing.
  15. Sienna Insiders (TSBs & Other Info)
If a creak, tick, or rattle noise is heard at the top or bottom of the windshield, or at the top of the rear glass, the source of the noise may be the two stoppers bonded to the top of the windshield/rear glass, or the windshield retainers bonded to the lower edge of the windshield. This...

This applies to all 2006-2009 Sienna models. Popping off and re-seating the mirror glass is a little bit tricky because it's very hard to see the plastic clips that hold the mirror in place. Also, if you have one of those fancy, auto-dimming mirrors and press too hard on the glass you can...
  17. General Discussion (Gen 2)
Hey all! I haven't posted in a LONG time. Just been loving my 2010...we just took her from Baltimore to Disney and back...heaven! This morning, when backing "Minnie" out of the garage, I whacked the passenger mirror on the side, knocking out the glass and shattering it. (I blame the husband for...

Hi everyone. I recently traded my scion for an 04 Sienna CE which had a large vertical crack through the plastic panel that protects the gauges. As part of the trade deal the dealer gave me a new one that I could install. It was easy, but I didn't have a camera with me. I did it in just a few...
