2011 sienna read lift gate alarm goes off when making turns or hitting small bumb

I replaced my left lower control arm and came to find out that the sway bar is hitting the lower part of my strut. Its making a really loud noise when I drive like metal hitting metal, how do I fix this? do I need an alignment or just put a new sway bar kit? Thanks
