Just had $3500 done in repairs to my 2006 Sienna CE with 214k. I generally have all service and maintenance done at the local Toyota dealer I’ve been going to since 2010. It’s DCH Toyota of Oxnard for reference. This is the rundown:
Timing Belt/ Bearing/ Tensioner
Valve Clearance Adjustment...
It may or may not be a waste of time and money, but I decided to paint the exhaust system of my 2021 XSE with Rustoleum high heat primer and paint. Part of the process is to cure the paint by doing the following:
Idle for 10 minutes - cool down.
Idle for 20 minutes - cool down.
2006 XLE (3MZFE) that has gone well beyond some needed maintenance 136K miles
This is what I'm dealing with.
1. Appears to be leaking oil from the front corners and possibly rear of the (valve cover/intake manifold?) gasket or first fitting below the engine cover.
2. The Coolant reservoir...
My 2008, Toyota sienna has a problem with the door not latching. With the power door, it closes, but the back pops open a little. Then as I drive down the road, the interior lights come on because the door does not close all the way. HELP!
On our 2007, we rarely (never) use the rear A/C or heat. I'm thinking we should run it once in a while to keep things lubricated or something. If so, how often and for how long? I don't know how the thing works, and what could go wrong.
We have a 2011 Sienna LE with 59,000 miles on it.
Except for the regular oil changes, tire rotation, and the brake service, we haven't done much regular maintenance on it since we bought it from the showroom, except for may be a couple of times. It's a great van that's in an excellent...
I have a 2008 Sienna XLE with 78K miles on it (1st owner). Friends told me that in general, Toyota cars of 10 years or older begins to have problems therefore not worthwhile to keep. Could you share your experience if you have similar Sienna?
thanks in advance!!!
I bought a 2015 Sienna XLE in July and the maintenance light came on today at 4,500 miles? Why so few miles before the first oil change? I thought these vans used Synthetic Oil and can easily go to 8K. Thoughts?
I just got the car last week with 97k on the odo.
I've already check the wheel alignment, replaced all 4 tires, engine oil change (high mileage oil), coolant flush and replacement, replaced air filter.
I'm planning on doing the transmission oil change and timing belt replacement asap. (as well...
I know most posts about the "Maintenance Required" warning light and display in the multi-information display are about how to turn them off after maintenance. Mine is the opposite. It did NOT give me a warning light or show up in the MID at 50K. Also, in the MID, there is now a blank screen at...
We have a new (to us) 2014 Sienna LE that is due for maintenance and I have two questions.
1. where is the oil filter on this thing? I went feeling around under the heat shield on top of the engine and can't find it.
2. what are the torque values for the oil drain plug and the wheel lugs...
I just got a new 2007 le with 124000 miles. I am thinking of doing the following maintenance and suggestions are welcome...
brake fluid change
power steering fluid change
new redesigned rack (mine is leaking)
new straight pipe vvti
I just had the oil changed on my 08 LE and a week or so later the Maint Reqd light came on. I know how to reset it but is this indicative that something went wrong with the oil change? Just not sure if I need to take the car back in to the shop.
We just purchased our 2011 Sienna on November 25th. On the display screen, it is now saying "maintenance required soon" when I first turn on the van and does go away. It is close to 60,000 miles, could this just be the reason? Just for normal maintenance issues? Does anybody know how to reset...
This stems from an argument I had earlier today, and I do not know enough to speak intelligently on the subject.
When replacing the front brake pads on a 2005 Sienna, should
a) the rotors be machined?
b) ceramic brakes be used?
I have been told that machining rotors has gone by the...
