Our 2022 Sienna averaged 37/38 MPG until about 7500 miles. We are now at 9500 and averaging 29/30 MPG under the same driving conditions. This has dropped off in the last 2000 miles and I am concerned. I typically change my own synthetic oil at 5K intervals but Toyota would only cover on 10K...

Just went the longest distance I've ever covered on a single tank of gas. My procedure is as follows: 1. Arrive at gas station and note trip 1 mileage 2. Scan credit card and fill the tank till the pump stops. 3. Wait 30 seconds for the fuel to settle, then G.E.N.T.L.Y squeeze the handle...

I got my woodland edition delivered this week, my trip computer says 28.3 mpg with 70% highway and 30% city. I drive it pretty lightly under speed limit. I live in cold weather though. How are you guys doing with MPG’s?

Our 2016 Sienna SE averaged 15-16mpg in mixed driving, we have 5 kids so the van was working hard with daily school drop offs, store runs etc. the mileage was no where near advertised…even with me driving like a 90 year old, I barely managed 17.5 mpg avg. We also burned they tires and brakes...

I have a 2006 Sienna CE with 215kmi, last month I had $3500.00 in service done that comprised of several things…to name a few: Valve Clearance Adjustment Fuel Injection Service Timing Belt I also had the spark plugs replaced about 5kmi ago, the original set lasted 200kmi+, could’ve gone more...

Hi, Has anyone found the mode that gets you the sweet spot of MPG? I am finding that when I use Eco mode, my engine is running more at lower speeds and the mpg isn't really an improvement?! When I use the Normal mode, the battery starts acceleration and lasts longer than on the Eco mode...I...

Hello all, Before purchasing our 2021 Sienna LE, we were really torn between it and a Kia Carnaval, or even Sedona (which we had in the past and really loved!). We finally decided on the Sienna for the lower MPG. Here's the thing: my significant other is totally uninterested in learning how to...

So, I just got a 2012 LE AWD, it came with a "full tank" and I drove it home, 300 miles, I filled up and via pencil and paper my MPGs were 21.8, I did reset the dash MPG average when I started driving, that said 25.1 MPG for the trip, a notable discrepancy. today I filled it again, I did reset...

Hi Folks. I had the 60K service done on our 2013 LE, which included a transmission oil change, per my suggestion. A couple of days later while on the freeway, the check engine light came on, the cruise control disengaged and the econo light went out. I stopped at the intersection below and when...

Had an issue I resolved this morning but I thought I would share in case someone else runs into this. I have a 2015 LE and yesterday I reset my Eco tracker and average km/l(mpg) indicator. Anyways, since then every time I start the engine it's been resetting it as well and not saving the...

Horrible MPG and hissing on (lemon?) 2014 XLE We live on a 1,000 foot hill and I coast down that hill every morning to bring the kids to school. With our previous car I typically got twice (~40 MPG) the average city MPG (21 MPG) going down that hill, sometimes 3x (around 60 MPG). With our new...

Hey everyone,So i recently took over my dad's 2000 sienna,it was in horrible shape. i changed most of the suspension, (control arms, ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, sway bar links, and all the engine mounts) i also did a tune up -(spark plugs, wires, air filter, pcv valve, and air filter) and...
  15. General Discussion (Gen 1)
Hi, I track my gas mileage regularly when I tank up. Recently, my driving habits changed and I no longer need to take the freeway. Most of my driving is around town, now. I go to and from work about 2 miles away and then to the grocery store or nearby mall. Everything is with iin a 5 miles...

I want to let a basic mechanic do this. The one I like services all cars. He only changed me like $75 to replace the front brake pads and rotors, which I supplied him. But I don't consider him a top-notch mechanic whom I would go to for a difficult diagnosis and problem. I also read that...

I have 350 miles on my 2013 sienna. I got it with close to 90 miles on it and I should have paid more attention to the MPG that was posted which was only 16.1. I thought that was 1 trip and honestly failed to focus on the 16.1 till I realized that it was average. Well I got it to get to 17.2. I...

Test drove a 2010 today and the MPG thing said average 21.5. Compared to my Odyssey with 17.8 that is great. It was always around 18.5 in my 2008 Sienna. What I can't remember is, is there any way to reset it? I seem to think it just ran continuously and gave you the average over the...

I got my new sienna 2012 XLE in late July. Now I have about 1050 miles. The average mpg is 13.9?mpg. I found this rather low. Can anyone advice or share his experience. Sam
  20. Problems & Issues
I recently purchase a 2007 Sienna XLE AWD. I drive mostly on Highway but with air conditioning on. I find that the gas consumption is 12-14 mpg, much lower than suggested 19-24 mpg. Is this normal? Do I need an inspection or change anything?
