  1. Problems, Maintenance, and Repair (Gen 2)
Anyone have the problem where the park brake pedal will not stay down? If I hold the pedal down with my foot, the car won't roll so the brakes seem to be engaging, but the pedal does not stay down, so they get released right away, like the ratchet mechanism does not work.
  2. Problems, Maintenance, and Repair (Gen 1)
Hey guys. First time here because I need advice. I worked on my girlfriend's mom's 02 Sienna today, she was telling me about how it wouldn't start. I bought over my jump starter because it sounded like the battery just needed a jump. This wasn't the case. The battery didn't have a problem...
  3. Problems, Maintenance, and Repair (Gen 2)
When I first turn my AC/Heat unit on the fan will start and then turn off. I can turn the unit off and back on and it will do the exact same thing. After i took the glove box door off, I could see the fan spin and then stop. The unit in the back works on a separate control and it works fine...

Hi Had the problem for about 4 months and just keep changing fuses (20 so far), garage can't find fault. It started with the 2006 Sienna tail lights (inc number plate lights) not working, then I noticed that sometimes they even worked when the fuse was blown (very odd). That has stopped now...

Has anyone had this problem? I went to look at the bottom of the door and it looks like the piece that would normally latch on is faced the other way. I can't seem to move it back to the position it's supposed to be. I compared the position to the passenger side. Any suggestions on how to fix? I...

The AC works just fine in my 1998 Sienna, except that we have to hold the AC button down for it to stay on. I have already tried swapping the two relays under the steering wheel, but I don't know if either one was the AC relay. Any ideas? It's getting warmer and my improvised solution...

My manual rear hatch will not stay open. I guess I need to buy replacement lift support rods. Where can I get them and how much do they cost? Thanks,
  8. Problems, Maintenance, and Repair (Gen 2)
If I start my 2006 Sienna LTD when the engine is cold, all dashboard warning lights come on and go off, as expected. But if I drive the car for a while, shut off the engine for a few minutes, and then restart the (still hot) engine, the TRAC OFF, ABS, VSC, and BRAKE warning lights will not go...

The popout beverage drawer in my 2011 Toyota Sienna will not stay closed. It opens and shuts smoothly, and closes fully. But it will not stay shut. Advice? Ideas?

Does anyone know if there is a rear cargo mat (carpet or rubber) that can stay in place when the third row seats are folded down? I just bought a 2006 Sienna Limited and am researching new floor mats. I have the manual third row.

Wife was leaving for an extended trip and was closing the right sliding door window from the driver's seat. The window would go up them bounce back down about half way.:0 I tried from the door switch and it did the same thing. Since she was leaving I went inside to get some tape and plastic...
  12. Problems & Issues
The rear door of our 2006 Toyota Sienna CE won't stay open so we have to hold it open to load groceries. Once we let the door go, it shuts real hard. Does anyone know what part(s) I will need to replace this? I'm guessing this is a hinge issue, but not sure. VIN 5TDZA23CX6S511470. Thanks in...

Have a 2004 Sienna where the trunk won't stay open anymore. For the past 6 mos or so, we've needed to prop it open with a big stick. Afraid that it will one day slam down on some unsuspecting head and do some serious damage. Have looked online at replacement struts - 2004-2005 Toyota Sienna...

Hi everyone, I'm hoping someone has an idea on how to tighten my DVD flip screen. It needs to be pushed an inch or so back frequently otherwise the screen can't be viewed well. It used to stay in place until recently. I guess it's worn out from six years of rear entertainment. ::) Thanks...
