To state the obvious, Toyota Motor Sales USA and Toyota Canada are separate companies in different countries. When I look at the 2007 Sienna in TIS, I see 118 US and 96 Canadian TSBs. They implement things very similarly but not identically. When I look at the Campaign Publications, only US campaigns are shown to me.
Campaign Publications: 12 document(s) found.

1. CSP ZTX: Certain 2004 to 2009 Model Year Sienna Vehicles; Extension of Warranty Coverage for Side Airbag Connector
2. SSC 90J - 2004-2009 Sienna - Update to Vehicle Capacity Weight and Gross Vehicle Weight Rating
3. SSC A7E Phase 2 - 2007-2009 2WD Sienna Severe Corrosion of Spare Tire Carrier Cable (Dealer Letter)
4. SSC A7E - 1998-2010 2WD Sienna Severe Corrosion of Spare Tire Carrier Cable (Technical Instructions)
5. Safety Recall - A9E Phase 2 - 2007-2009 2WD Sienna Severe Corrosion of Spare Tire Carrier Cable (Dealer Letter)
6. Safety Recall - A9E - 1998-2010 2WD Sienna Severe Corrosion of Spare Tire Carrier Cable (Technical Instructions)
7. Safety Recall D0R: 2004-2005 and 2007-2009 Sienna; Shift Lock Solenoid Assembly (Technical Instructions)
8. Safety Recall D0R: 2004-2005 and 2007-2009 Sienna; Shift Lock Solenoid Assembly (Dealer Letter)
9. Safety Recall D0R (D1R) Preliminary: 2004-2005 and 2007-2009 Sienna; Shift Lock Solenoid Assembly
10. CSP ELT: Economic Loss Class Action Settlement (Dealer Letter)
11. Non-Compliance Campaign P105 (GST003) - 2007-2010 Sienna: Aftermarket accessories which might alter the final rated cargo weight of the vehicle
12. CSP: ZTS Certain 2004 to 2010 Model Year Sienna Vehicles Extension of Warranty Coverage for Rear Sliding Door Latch and Power Sliding Door Cable
The "CSP" lines in the list are the Customer Support Programs in the US. The "SSP" lines in the list are the Special Service Campaigns. The recalls and compliance referenced is with the US FMVSS.

Unless you can find some program from Toyota Canada, you will have to pay for the repair yourself. Your case is different from local van purchasers since you made a US purchase and imported the vehicle into Canada after modifying it to satisfy Canadian motor vehicle laws. Effectively, that gave the purchase profits to Toyota Motor Sales USA and not Toyota Canada. Those profits would pay for your warranty in the US, and Toyota Canada may have honored it during those 36 months as part of a reciprocity agreement. Since Toyota Canada got nothing from your purchase, you are asking for post-warranty charity on their part. Few companies would operate that way unless their global parent directed it.

Your best bet would be to post in the Canadian Sienna section of the forum and see if any other Canadian owners have more information.

Hi, I have a problem very similar to the one the guy posted on youtube.
Can anyone confirm that this is the problem? The only way to open and close is to hold the handle and push it in the direction I want it closed until the automatic door takes over. Thank you for your help in advance. 2007 sienna LE rear passenger door.

it's not fair for me to buy my toyota sienna with over 120,000 miles, and now the door is giving me problems and the extended warranty does not cover me and work in the dealer cost 1,000.00 as may charge much for that work if and they are realizing that it is a defect of the toyotas sienna should extend the warranty for more miles

Is there a question in here, or is this to help you feel less aggrieved? The oldest of this generation's vans are now 11 years old. You don't say what year yours is, but I guess it is elderly. Old vehicles wear out and break. It is up to you to decide what to do rather than complain about missing an extended warranty period.

Has anyone tried to replace the power sliding door cable with a product from CNS Autoparts for 299$ (Power Sliding Door Cable Assembly w/o Motor 04-10 Toyota Sienna) instead of the Toyota OEM 69631-08030 for approx. 500$? I'm a bit puzzled as the guideline for replacing the genuine part specifically states that the cable may not come out of the pulley. While the CNS part doesn't include the pulley, only a free cable.

We just bought a 2004 Sienna less than a year ago. This week, at 110k miles, the cable on the passenger door frayed making it impossible to close the door. Took it to the dealer who said this extended warranty covered the other motor in the door, not the one that we need replaced with the cable (apparently that is all 1 piece). Any idea how to verify this information? Since we were not the owner when the extended warranty was issued, I am only seeing this issue as posted here on this forum. To make matters worse, the dealership told us that the one on the other door is about to go out. Oh, and it's $1700 per door to fix...

Read the letter at the start of this thread. It is the actual instructions on what is covered. The supporting TSBs provide detail. They are posted on other forum threads. Between them you can learn what is actually covered, which actually addresses just a subset of the door parts. Depending on which cable broke in your door, it may not be part of the extended warranty. People have regularly been thinking that the whole door is covered for everything when it is not.

Unfortunately, you are past the 9 year coverage period but the dealership is obviously out of touch and might still perform some work covered by it. Good luck.

I had the driver's side sliding door of my van repaired under this program a year ago, now the passenger side door is stuck mid way. The dealer now wants $125.00 just to take a look at the door, prior to this the other door was repaired without a hassle. My van is a '04 XLE with 102,000 miles on it. It is very difficult to spend all this money on a vehicle that can hardly make it beyond 100,000 miles without frequent repair problems.

What's even worse, the parts to repair these doors are not readily available.

This is exactly my problem. Can anyone confirm that this is in fact the actuator that has gone bad? If it is not the actuator, which part can be replaced as a DIY to fix this issue? If the door still opens manually, i assume the cable is fine. So would this be covered under a warranty or CSB? Thanks

I must have gotten lucky then - the dealership I took it to told me it was the actuator, but did the repair under this CSP warranty extension anyways. My van was still within 9 years/120k miles - said it would have cost $300 to repair otherwise.
Lucky you! I'm not certain if there are any of us here who got just the actuator repaired under this.

I'm going to copy part of your post into a new comment ... ".The second door that snapped is not catching on the rear window so the dealer said "don't use the door as it is liable to break open the back window". Are you kidding? This should be a SAFETY RECALL in my opinion. Does anyone have any advise for me?" ... this happened to me yesterday with my 2009 sienna. The automatic door failed about two months ago, we had the cable cut, and have been using it manually. Yesterday, the "bearing malfunctioned" and the bearing came out of the track underneath the very back window (not the window on the sliding door), and the rear window shattered, and the door remains partially opened. Unbelievable. It's at our local Toyota dealer now, and I am waiting to hear from Toyota headquarters on what, if anything, they are going to do about this.

I am so happy! Doing the Happy Dance! I just saved myself about $1000 by reading this forum and finding the power sliding doors on my 2006 Sienna LTD are covered to 120,000 miles or 9 yrs. Whew- I'm at 118,650! Anyone know if the third row power seats, driver's rearview electric mirror or the clicking for the air conditioner actuator are/were covered?
I've already paid to fix the seats but the other items are still outstanding.
