this is the first time i ever trying to remove all three of 2nd row seats to make room to transport a big leather sofa (almost 8 ft long) from store to home.
the 2nd row both outter seat can easily fold and flip forward, then i pulled the strap underneath the seat and fold whole seat back down a little bit and pull back, and the whole seat will just unlatch from the floor pins.

the 8th seat, middle seat in 2nd row has a red small lever handle under the seat, but doesn't matter if i pull the strap or the red lever handle, it won't fold and flip forward.

if i manually push the pin forward in attached pictures circles in the yellow, then it will unlatched rear legs from the floor plan. and now the whole seat can flip forward.

i tried to push the red lever, but it doesn't seem to move anything
is my 8th seat unlatch mechanism broken? or that is normally how it works?

The 8th seat is a HUGE pain to remove.

Remove the headrest from the seat (otherwise it won't fold down far enough), and move the front seats forward. Also fold the console tray.

There is a metal "cutout" plate that says "push" on it. Once you pull the lever push on that with your foot - you will slide the seat forward.

Unlike the outer seats it doesn't flip forward to be removed or installed, but rather slides forward.

Edit: Are you able to flip it up at all? I never have trouble with that it just folds down and flips up, it's only removing it from the minivan that is a problem.

i am not able flip up by pulling the strap like the other two seats do. it only folds down the upper half.
so i have to manually push the pins i circled in yellow, and then it flips up.
i then pull the strap underneath the seat, lay the seat back down a little bit and while still pulling the strap, lay the seat back down a little and pull it toward the back of the vehicle and the whole seat now can unlatch from the floor pin.

i noticed the 8th seat has two position for mounting, inline with the other two, or move up about 5 or 6", which i can see the center console need to fold down first.

my 8th seat is mounted inline with the other two 2nd row seats, and i don't have to remove any of the headrests, as long as is at all the way down position, and clear anything object infront the seat.
