2004 Sienna Jack / Lift Support Points **2WD / FWD / AWD**

20237 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  am12
Posting some diagrams I've collected during my years of Sienna ownership...

This one has diagrams of the proper jack/lift support points under 2004 Sienna models.
Page 1 is for 2WD / FWD ONLY.
Page 2 is for AWD, which has slightly different points, particularly for the rear axle area.
Page 3 is for professional/commercial service lifts/hoists.

Other model years may or may not be applicable.

These may or may not apply to your Sienna. Please read the details and also verify with Toyota or an authorized Toyota dealer if there have been any updates/revisions for the subject in question. Many of these are "old" and may have been changed on newer model years.

I personally do not have any additional info.

Please share any details of your relevant experience for the future benefit of others.

YMMV.
Good Luck!!

EDIT: Thanks to [brian_bp] for pointing out some addt'l details I had missed.

Jack Adapter For Pinch Weld Locations

If you have a hydraulic floor jack and want to use it for for jacking up the Sienna at any of the four pinch weld locations you may be interested in this adapter from Eastwood: http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=2061&itemType=PRODUCT

I saved the $22 and fabricated my own adapter.

Good point.

And thanks for reminding me...........I've read that some DIY-ers have successfully modified hockey pucks into adapters for the jack head. They just carve out some material from the puck.....enough to leave a large enough groove to allow the body weld locations to seat properly on to the jack. And the puck also fits nicely into the head of the jack.

Steve... can you share a pic of your own in-house fab?

Pics of Home Brew Jack Adapter

I scrounged up a few pieces of scrap iron and welded them together as shown in the pics.

And yes I'm not proud of the crappy welds :-[ (first time with MIG welder) but it does the job. ;D

Note: The wider block should be positioned toward the inside of the vehicle.

NOTE: I patterned the adapter from the jack that came with the van.

looks pretty good home brew! I might try that sometime when the weather gets warmer.

True, the central rear jacking point (to lift the whole rear end) is different between 2WD and AWD. Fortunately, the document which Topsy provided in the first post has the 2WD diagram on the first page, and the AWD diagram on the second page. :)
Thanks, [bp]!!

I had not actually scrutinized the document carefully. I shall make the appropriate corrections to the topic/post to reflect your newly noted info. 8)
Just in case anyone is wondering.... This info is still good on the 2010 2wd model, and IMHO the diagrams linked to above are far clearer and easier than the small diagrams in my owners manual.

(changed from summer to winter tires yesterday, and it was basically a breeze.)
