2004 sienna transaxle making grating noise

I just installed a good used transmission and new aftermarket cv axle about 100 miles ago. Was driving fine, suddenly got this grinding noise, where the drivers side axle goes into the transmission, Car will not turn axle in any gear, instead makes a grating noise in gear. When u engage into park, makes a huge grinding sound like when you try to change gears without pressing the clutch in a manual car.
Any idea what could have happened, hope it's something with the axle. As i would hate to remove the transmission again

When you find out I'd like to know what it was. I towed my friends untouched Prizm, with the same noise. He junked it without finding out. Sorry I'm not any help.
PS check the axles are in all the way.

pull the axles out and then check for tranny functionality, you can see the internals move when you shift etc..

They addre moving but won't move when wheels ar on the ground. I will Jack both sides up and try, currently i only had left side up. Enter ther mouse is coming from. But it still grinds into park
