Hello XLE Fans,
I love my 2004 Sienna XLE and use it exclusively for my photography journeys. Needing to charge multiple kinds of camera batteries, I use the 12 volt cig connector and the 120 volt plug in the rear cabin. The 12 volt cig works well, but the 120 volt plug next to it is dead. It worked for years, charging 120 v - 5-7 volt batteries. Recently checked with my voltmeter and now that circuit is dead. Searching in the 2004 owner manual (404 pages) for inverter fuse location reveals nothing. Using a volt meter, I again confirmed the 12v line to the cig lighter (good) that is on the same mount as the standard 120v outlet (minus the usual grounding pin). This has to be a blown fuse somewhere in the circuit, remember the 12v line is good.

Any suggestions where to find the inverter fuse box?

It is a separate fuse 15A 'AC INV'. Location is drivers side junction block.

I think there is a relay also. Buried in the dash behind the instrument cluster if my memory serves correct.

Thanks for the prompt reply, I will go out and check. Did not know there was another fuse box inside the cab.

No problem. Should be in the owners manual. Drivers side J/B. The relay location is not in there I don't think. That is in the repair manual.

Found it right where you indicated. Pulled the 15Amp fuse and it was good. Assuming the relay is good, do you know where the inverter is located?

Also check the 10A ECU IG fuse. I think it is in the same fuse block as the other fuse. Easy check as it is a power source for the inverter.
I think that inverter is in the left side just behind the sliding door. Below the gas door area. I have never messed around with them myself as my old Siennas were lower lines. Base models and LE.

Good Morning,
I found the 10A ECU IG fuse right where you indicated and it is good. That leaves finding the inverter, probably in the drivers rear panel, since it has a second 120v outlet. My guess is behind that panel is where the inverter might be. That one rear panel has both of the 120 v outlets, so that makes sense. Do you agree?

Next to the 120 v outlet is another pullout that might be an electrical relay. Your thoughts?

I am assuming I will have to remove the seats to take off that rear interior panel.

The inverter itself is directly underneath the cupholders on the driver side rear interior panel.

The easiest way to get to it is to remove the cover for the little storage cubby on that panel (only two Phillips screws), then yank out the cupholders (they are just held in by clips).

See image below. The silver box right there is the inverter. It's held in by two bolts and is very easy to swap out with a junkyard unit.

That is exactly were I thought it would be. Hoping I would not have to remove the seats to get to it.

You'll have to pull the panel back a bit to get the lower bolt out, as it's perpendicular to the seats.
