Does the 2005 Sienna use those pressed in aluminum bushing for the slide pin? Checking for a rubbing sound in drivers front wheel. Notice rubber boot on glide pin split. Pull it out. Bottom remains in, and the interior part wont come out. Come to discover there is a pressed in metal bushing that holds the rubber bushing in there. I do not recall those. Previous brake jobs you just pushed a new boot in by hand, no metal integral bushing. Even the parts diagram shows just the rubber boot #47775-02130, metal no bushing to hold it in.

Even if I got this out, is that not an OEM caliper if it has those metal bushings. I usually but OEM, but dont recall on this last brake job (maybe an auto zone one)? Regardless the OEM boot #47775-02130 not going to work if caliper designed for this metal bushing monstrosity.

yup what above post said.... its not hard to do...just don't tear the rubber boot....I did the full brake caliper pin cleanout..... I used a harbor freight wire brush kit and it worked great..... be careful which bolts you put in....top and bottom are different....so do one bolt at a time or copy other side...I bought this from harbor freight and it works great on cleaning out the caliper bolt hole sleeve......
