I bought my 2007 Sienna LE in May of this year with 119000 miles on it. I put a lot of miles on my vehicle and it just hit 125000 this afternoon. The second day of ownership the left sliding door refuses to open, it opens about 1 inch then jams. I took it for an oil change last week when they alerted me that the front tires were bald, they were brand new in May (I watched them being installed at the dealer.) The vehicle hydroplanes terribly, I'm scared to drive in the rain. I noticed on the CarFax that the previous owner replaced the coil springs and literally traded it in for a Honda the next day. I took it for an alignment this morning and they told me that it was not necessary but he noticed the suspension making a popping sound as they pulled it in the garage. I refused service at that time because I can't afford a large repair right now. I'm not sure what to do about this, the tires were destroyed in 6000 miles.

The coil springs were replaced but not the struts? Popping noise could be the struts.

What brand of tires did you put on? Cheap tires combined with bad suspension could make your tires wear out quick. What wear pattern did your tires wear out? Were they worn evenly or inner or outer wear?

The tires are Dunlop. They wore down completely smooth on the outsides, towards the middle they have some tread, and on the insides they have steel cords showing. When steering the front right tire squeeks loudly. My father thinks it might me a bad ball joint.

Sounds like an underinflated tire.

The Sienna is a back on the road. I needed a ball joint on the right side and an alignment. It was 3/4 of an inch out of alignment. I ordered 4 Goodyear Assurance Touring tires for it. I also ordered new 18 inch rims for the Goodyear tires, I purchased 4 Bridgestone Blizzak for the current rims. As of now it has 127000 miles on it and it has been given the green light.
