Hey all, I’m new to this platform and maybe it’s not the correct one but here’s my question.
Just got this van a few weeks back. The front end sounded like it had a bad bearing. Remind you I checked all this before starting any repairs. Most of the stuff I replace was bad. Here’s the list of repairs.
Replaced both knuckles with new bearings along with ball joints, both cv axels. The noise is steel there. What could it be. I’m pulling my hair out on this and broke the bank. The previous owner had the rear bearing replaced. Could use some help on this one. Thanks

Did you check the swing arm bushing? If you take off the front tire, it's what supports the knuckle and ball joint. It's triangular in shape. the bushing toward the back will dry up and wear out ( causing a knocking noise). Try to find some 205 liquid. Put it in a spry bottle and spry it on any rubber bushings, fittings, boots, etc you can find. It's suppose to soak in and refresh older rubber parts.
Here's a silly video Scotty made years ago, but he's got good info.

I'd try this before spending any more $ on ur issue.

Not much description focused around the noise. Could be about anything. Does it squeek, grind, click? Hot, cold or constant? Front, rear? When you hit a pedestrian? while turning? Braking? Just cruising down the road?

From whats left untouched AND assuning its in the suspension and not an ex wife in the back, have you checked the upper strut bearings?

You didn't say anything about the brakes. Does it make the sound if you rotate the wheels by hand with the front axle in the air? If so, remove the brake pads, make sure no one steps on the brake pedal while the pads are off, then turn the wheels to see if the sound persists. Check the rear brakes also.

If they use Moog knuckle assemblies, yes, it's entirely possible you have a bad bearing. One of mine lasted a couple years (so far) and the other one lasted 2 months and then it wore out so fast the wheel almost came off. That said, you need to isolate the sound. A mechanic's stethoscope should help with this. It could be anything from the transmission to the hub.

Wheel bearings make a roar
I was reading a loud, my wife said Katey Perry makes a Roar 🙄.

Anyway, is it AWD? The bearing between the drive shaft and rear diff is known for that too.

Oh boy, I have a moog wheel bearing on rear driver side. One year now, hopefully I get more out if it.

I was able to dig back into this week. I have come to the conclusion it’s a bad bearing on the drivers side. I had vibration in the spring. Waited on the new assembly to come in and replaced it Friday evening. No more roaring!
It was a bad assembly right out of the box on the first time around. They don’t make parts these days like they used to! Thanks for your advice

Can I suggest you change the title of your thread. Not sure if you can edit your own but it would be a good idea.
Reason being is there is nothing in the title that suggests what the problem was. And since you were good enough to come back with some closure on this, which in itself is a rarity, a more descriptive tittle might help someone in the future find this thread when they do a search.
