FYI all - http://www.insideline.com/honda/ody...sey-recalled-because-windows-may-shatter.html

Just the Facts:

* Honda is recalling 2,800 2011 Odyssey minivans because the front windows may shatter into the cabin, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
* Honda dealers will replace either the passenger's and/or the driver's front door window glass.
* The recall is expected to begin on April 15.

WASHINGTON — Honda is recalling 2,800 2011 Odyssey minivans because the front windows may shatter into the cabin, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

"There is a potential failure with the driver and front passenger door power windows in which the window may come off the track, causing the window to become inoperative and preventing it from being rolled up or down, or it could drop into the door," said NHTSA in its recalls summary of the problem. "The window may shatter into the passenger cabin, causing a risk of injury to the vehicle occupants."

In other documentation filed with the federal government, Honda said it has received 97 warranty claims regarding the defect. It said in a statement on its Web site that no crashes or injuries have been reported related to the defect. It attributed the defect to a supplier's failure to use the correct primer on the glass.

It is the second recall this month for the 2011 Honda Odyssey. On March 15, Honda recalled 33,341 Odyssey minivans because of defective windshield wipers.

The recall to correct the glass defect will begin on April 15. Honda dealers will replace either the passenger's and/or the driver's front door window glass. Owners can contact Honda at 1-800-999-1009.

Yes Rex21, the problem can be with American plants and parts suppliers, but if you look at where those plants are located, the majority are in the South.

BMW has major problems with quality control in South Carolina, Mercedes has huge problems with quality in Alabama, and others with Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas build quality.

When you choose a state in America to build your vehicle, based on cheap labor and taxes, you get
what you pay for. All these afore mentioned states, have terrible public school systems that nationally consistantly rate on the bottom.
