130,000 miles
Just went to the dealer for oil change and was told there was coolant leak. They suspect the head gasket issue and the cost would be $4,400!
I went to another shop and had it checked out. They told me that there was coolant leaks between the piston head and the engine. But the leak is externally, not internally into the engine. So they suggested me to keep an eye on the coolant level and add whenever that is low.
I never noticed any overheating yet; I did not find some leaking spot in my garage.
I now check everyday and after about 150 miles of driving, the level seemed dropping about half inch in the reservoir tank from the full position (checked in the morning).
Could anyone offer any suggestions? If I watch the level, would it last several months. I do not want to buy a new car soon; but next year may be okay. Thanks.
