2011 XLE Cruise Control not working

Just bought a 2011 XLE off lease this last Saturday. On the way home I tried to engage the cruise control and it would not engage. Pressing the On/Off button did not turn on the cruise control light on the dashboard. I dont' know if this is related but later I noticed the cruise light did not illuminate when the van was started and the rest of the lights did.

I have searched online for any suggestions and haven't found anything on 2011 cruise control issues.

Any help of suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the light is blown. Try to engage it like you usually would and see if it works. If it does then you know what your problem is.

It could be a flakey switch on the brake pedal. There are 2 switches there, the stop light switch, and the cruise cancel switch.
