Hi all!
Quick question:
My roof rails are very faded. I pulled the end caps and I see two torx screws on each end.

My question would be, can I unscrew said screws without loosing a nut between the roof and the headliner?
I dont want to remove the bolts just to find out they were held by a nut inside the headliner and not be able to reattach them.

I want to remove them, clean them, paint them and reinstall them...

Thoughts?
Thanks!

I think painting them on the Van itself shouldn't be an issue other than the fact that you would need an elevated platform (ladder or a high stool). Here is a poster who removed them from the 3rd Gen Roof Rack Removal

Ahh yes, I see..
It looks like nothing is going to fall inside the van if I unscrew them........
I know I can paint them on the van but I want a to do a clean job:
avoid overspray to the van and underspray to the rails...... a much cleaner job can be achieved by removing them then reattaching them

Thanks for your reply!
