Ours was doing this, they couldn't figure it out. Something came loose or broken to do with on or near the water pump, then it shredded the serpentine belt

My spouse says the shaft on the water pump broke. Apparently a bearing (?) seized and it busted. However, the sound was like this for awhile before that happened. We have a different rattle and noise that our mechanics can't find either now though (unrelated) and the whole process is sooo darn frustrating.
