I’m in the market for a CPO 3rd gen. The 2019 and 2020s are priced like brand new 4th gens so I’m looking at 2017 and 2018s which can be had in the mid to upper $30k range. My research shows the main difference between the 17 and 18 is the front grill and entune 3.0. Is the entune 3.0 alone worth paying extra for a 2018? Is there anything else worth considering between these 2 model years? I’m looking between the XLE and SE.

The 2018s also have standard Toyota Safety Sense (auto braking and lane departure warning and some other features) that came with the new grille. The 2017s didn't have it. Definitely something to consider, and I think it's the biggest difference between the 2017s and 2018s.

exactly. Had I known that the 2018 was going to come with adaptive cruise control and was upgradeable to CarPlay I would have waited a year

Prices on these have gone crazy I bought ours a 2018 XLE premium with entreatment system with 23K miles on it in April for $29.5K. I bought the 18 because of the Safety sense and the Car Play, and I wanted the updated exterior. If those 3 things don't peak your interest save some money and get a 16 the 17 had some glitches with the 8 speed trans which was new in 17.
