When I looked at the 2018 Sienna XLE parts list, I didn't find any relays labeled as being related to turn signals. This question has come up before. I just now reviewed a number of past threads on this forum and some of them questioned whether there is separate relay or flasher module for the turn signals or whether the function is combined in a multi-function module.

If you are without turn signals it might require a Toyota dealership technician to diagnose the problem.

Feels free to use the Advanced Search feature of this forum to see if you can find more information than I did.

From what I know, the turn signal relay was discontinued from year 2015 onwards. On 2011-14, it is located behind the driver side knee panel trim. Drop it( couple of M10 Bolts) and it is mounted to the right by the side, looking straight ahead. There is only one so of its there, you can't miss it.

I was in the process of switching out bulbs to LED from Lasfit canbus turns signal bulbs.. and thought maybe I need to replace the relay so that way I delete hyperflash from left or right turn signal. It only slows down when I press 4-way Hazard switch..any thought??

Hyperflash is not a glitch. It is purposely done by the vehicle to indicate to the driver that one (or both) of the turn signals has burned out. They measure the current, and when it drops below expected, they believe a bulb has burned out and increase the flashing speed to indicate this.

If an LED replacement bulb doesn't have suitable load resistors to draw a sufficient current, the car thinks the bulbs, which it expects to be halogen bulbs drawing much more current, are burned out.

The reason that the 4-way hazard blinks normal is because it's not programmed to flash faster to indicate a burned-out bulb.

The fix is either to stick with halogen bulbs as designed, or use LED bulbs with a suitably sized load resistor so they draw the current a normal halogen bulb would.

I am running turnsignal Leds (6K VLed's) in our 13 XLE and have swapped the relay as you were expecting on yours. Since your Van doesn't have one, you can either get Leds with built In load resistors or add external ones. The latter get very hot so depending on where you mount them, it may or may not be ideal. If available, I would go with the former which might be expensive.
