Our LE FWD is more like a supermodel and is quite light in comparisonI will swing by the scale that I use and have them print off a front and rear axle weight. When I'm empty. Also, the Sienna is 4800 lb minimum when empty without the mid row seats. The Platinum trim actually comes in around 5100 empty. I have a base model le awd, and without the mid row seats and completely empty, my scale ticket without me in was 4800. That one doesn't have a distribution of front and rear though. I don't see how any trim could be any lighter, i do have a 55 lb draw bar added on the rear, there isn't much else you can take out. The mid row seats may be weigh about 100 lb combined.

with a full tank of gas,
Gasoline weighs 6lbs per gallon x 17 gallons = 102 lbs. Oil, multiple coolants, wiper fluid, etc., should be able to double that. In the motorcycle world, dry weight specs are a big marketing tool so when those guys say "dry" they really mean NO fluids (even fork oil) to get that number as low as possible even if it's not realistic.I really would like to know where or when toyota got their weigh(4610).
maybe the 4610 lbs is for the FWD versionGasoline weighs 6lbs per gallon x 17 gallons = 102 lbs. Oil, multiple coolants, wiper fluid, etc., should be able to double that. FWIW
Yup, see post # 4.maybe the 4610 lbs is for the FWD version
Canadian site seems more accurate:Screencap from toyota.com, we've got quite the featherweight rear electric motor. The XLE FWD and AWD also weigh in at 4625 lbs, Platinum is 4725 lbs. I suppose Toyota is up to their game of average weights.
It makes perfect sense. The published weight of LE AWD (canadian) is 4740 lbs. Your actual is 4720 lbs coz you removed seats, added fluids. Thanks for posting the weights btw. Nice to know both the AWD and FWD are within the 55/45 percent weight distribution.the canadian site seems way more accurate, but still doesn't make sense. I should weight the mid row seats and see how heavy they actually are. I figure they are about 100 pounds, and I have an OEM drawbar, so if the seats were in, that would put my empty weight at about 4820 or more. that is a lot of cargo capacity lost considering the GVWR is 6175. 100 pounds could mean the difference between the dog overloads you or not.
Different testing standards. Also why are canadian mpg estimates so high?
Actually, those are Imperial MPG. 6.7 L/100 km = 42 MPG (Imperial) = 35 MPG (US)Different testing standards.
Yeah, I don't even state in L/100 km usually... normally just mention US MPG which is what I understand.Actually, those are Imperial MPG. 6.7 L/100 km = 42 MPG (Imperial) = 35 MPG (US)
Just love those different units, eh?
I should add... I've never met a person in Canada who would state fuel consumption in Imperial MPG. I'm not even sure why it's listed.
