Does the 8 seater XLE get super-long slide captain chairs? (my salesman says no)
Also, are the captain chairs the same width in 8P and 7P XLE models?

Thanks in advance!

Only 7p vans have the super-long-slide because there is a different set of mounting rails in the floor than in the 8p vans. I’m not sure on the size differences between the two, I’ve never actually seen an 8p in person.

Middle seat seatbelts in 8P are on sidewalls. 7P seatbelts are on the chairs themselves. This was mentioned earlier as a reason why 8Ps can't slide as far back. IIRC, 8Ps have long slides though, just not super-long.

It's seriously a non issue. You also can very easily slide one of the middle seats forward and climb in from the side. The belts attached to the wall don't get in the way as they are...attached to the wall. They don't move with the seat.

We use our 8 seater basically as a 4 seater by having the middle seat removed, and then the middle outboard seats are pushed to their furthest rear position. We almost never use the 3rd row. Even though we don't have the super long slide, the middle row still has plenty of legroom.

Im a 190 pound male and hop over the little middle "hump" when the 8th seats removed all the time, zero issues. We wanted the 7 but couldn't get one and in the end turns out we love the 8th seat. Easy to pop on and off and the wife sits in it all the time though none of that seems to apply to the OPs original question as to how far they actually slide but since the topic came up..
