I want to install the tach-speedo from a 98 Sienna into a 99 Sienna that originally has no tachometer. Plug & play? Odometer?

Well, I did it. Took the same amount of work as replacing a burnt out bulb in the dash. It is plug & play, works fine. Only snag is the odometer added 56,000 more miles to my Sienna in 30 minutes. I don't care, means nothing, not planning to sell it. I got a tach!
I want to do the same thing to my 2001 CE, but I don't want the odometer to change. Do you know of any way to prevent this?

Nope. What ever is on the donor instrument cluster is what you get. Considering the age and value, a few mile don't matter much. Specially if both the mileages are up there.
