This is my summer set up. Tire size 235/55/20 Rims are from 2022 Hylander platinum. The tpms recalibrated and display the tire pressure View attachment 61127

I was looking for these style wheels last week on eBay but couldn’t visualize how they would look on the Sienna. I also considered the Highlander Limited wheels.

Has anyone simply put the OEM FWD Platinum/Limited 20" wheels on an Platinum/Limited AWD? They are super hard to find and are quite expensive but I think the 20" wheels would look great.
thats what I was going to do, but they are 800 a wheel which is beyond stupid. Im going with aftermarket 18"s black to keep the ride better and also its the entire set for 800 not per wheel, lol.

Can someone help me understand, when the specs say the offset for OEM is a range between 38-42, does that mean any wheel with offset outside those parameters won’t work? or just use the rule of thumb for offset that it shouldn’t be more than 5mm from the OEM and use it for any number between the 38-42? So technically any offset between 38-47 should work?

 Oh wow, I didn’t know Subaru did Monster Trucks? Lol

yeah I’m just looking at some wheels to use with OEM tires and try to keep it close to stock specs. Just trying to understand how to interpret the 38-42 offset range that are provided for the OEM so I can go off of that.

safest route to stay w/in spec is to check sites like this and compare our stock settings from the vehicle you are getting rims from.

here is what highlander wheels 18 inch look like (+30 mm offset). Not ideal - but it works. 38-47 is the ideal offset. In this example. My setup is about 8mm outside spec. But im not too worried because the highlander uses the same front lower control-arm and steering knuckle part numbers as the 2022 sienna. Which means it also uses same bearings, etc.

yeah I was going to put these black Subaru wheels that came with my Forester that have been sitting in the garage and just switch the center caps to some Toyota ones from eBay or something. The wheels are 18x7 but the offset is+48. I think it’ll work and can save around 750 bucks but not sure if I should just spend the money and get these other wheels that are spec at +40.

please note that the Forester weighs about 3600 lbs. Sienna about 4500 lbs. For safety reasons - i would stick to wheels from Highlander, lexus RX350, RX400/450, or similar weight class. My cargo is my highest priority.

Good point, my dumb self didn’t think about weight capacity. I’ll look into the load capacity when searching for a wheel.

The main things you want to keep in mind, especially if re-using existing wheels are:
  • PCD, the bolt pattern must match
  • the width of the wheel has to be the same if you're planning on re-using tires, otherwise you'll get more bulge or stretch
  • offset is one calculation - but remember offset depends on the width of the wheel
  • load capacity, as you mentioned. That's particularly important for big and heavy cars like the Sienna

I also recommend using the website 20swrt suggested. There are calculators online that can help you verify measurements.
If you are unsure, visit a local, reputable wheel & tire shop and ask them to help you. That's their job and what they specialize in. They know this stuff like the back-of-their-hand.
They can often order wheels and tires in for you within a few weeks and it'll be guaranteed to fit.

On the Sienna in particular, you want to be careful of:
  • if the wheels are too sunken in (into the wheel well, towards the car), the wheels and tires may hit the inner mechanics or rub
  • if the wheels are poking too much, your rear sliding doors might hit or rub the tires
The latter is a rather unusual thing because usually it's safer to poke further out, but with sliding doors, gotta be careful.

I have provided measurements on how far you can safely poke out on my build thread. :)
Just remember you need to consider the tire bulge too, not just the wheels.

Thanks a lot for your kind input man. What I also did was I went on tire rack and you can select your vehicle and it’ll filter a bunch of wheels for the Sienna. So I’m guessing per their algorithm these wheels would all be fine for the Sienna as far as offset, pcd, and weight capacity. But the one I like doesn’t have info on these specs, so I wrote them a message to verify these details. The manufacturer website lists an offset and pcd range for their 18” version of the wheel, so they have different specs for the 18s. Hopefully the one tire rack suggest for the Sienna is the same offset and pcd and I’m presuming weight capacity should be ok. But I’ll wait to confirm these details

I bought a pair of 17" wheels from Costco for my winter setup. Turns out that the authentic TPMS that I bought from Toyota doesn't fit them. The TPMS sold at Costco also doesn't fit. Has been a disaster.

Has experienced something similar? Odd that they would sell wheels that they can't even install or that don't fit a TPMS.

So I finally heard back from manufacturer of these wheels I wanna get, and the wheel load weight is 1588lbs. I tried looking up how to calculate if they’d be ok for the Sienna and I think it has to be at least half of the gross axle weight rating for the Sienna.
Thing is, I can’t find the GAWR for a 2023 Sienna AWD. Can someone help with that? I think it should be listed in the manufacture plate if anyone can take a look for me. Specially anyone with a 25AE AWD model : )

Ill look later today for you when the wife gets home, I don't think those you post is going to be enough, the Sienna is heavy and also has a pretty high payload, I didn't want to go any lower than the 1800 lbs each capacity that the ones I got have.

Thanks brother. Yeah I agree that’s what I figured when I saw that number even though I haven’t calculated it yet it seem insufficient.
