I don't think there is any airbag that would work without removing the bump stop. With it there isn't much travel from the bottom of the bump stop to the rim of the cup where the bump-stop hits.

I'm not sure I can convince a shop of that though. I'd love to just see it classified as compatible.

no kits that I know of have listed the AWD as compatible, but the rear suspension is identical in both versions. i can snag some pictures of the rear suspension of my AWD if someone wants to get pictures of a FWD rear suspension. Toyota literally lists all the parts as cross compatible.

Plus side, is the DIY install is not actually that terribly hard. If you can find a suspension shop to:
  1. Remove the bump stops
  2. Drill the hose holes in the bottom cups
The rest of the install should take a few hours if you have a jack and jack-stands.
