I have a 2005 XLE Limited. The other day the battery was dead, so we jumped it. When we unhooked the cables, and it died again. I took the battery home and charged it. Put the battery back in and it started right up. The problem now is that it won't shift out of park. We also have no power to the windows, radio, heating and air and lights. Not sure what the problem might be.

What is battery voltage before starting and with the engine running? It’s possible your alternator isn’t charging the battery sufficiently causing low system voltage all around.

Is it possible the jump cables were reversed even momentarily? If so, check all the fuses and fusible links.
