Hi all,
I recently completed an engine swap on my 2009 Toyota Sienna that I bought from an auction. I followed Happywrenching’s guide on YouTube to do it. It took me about 40 hrs since I (had) no mechanical experience. Glad to say everything works perfect now but I’m left with my old 2GRFE taking space in my garage.
For those that have done engine swaps, where do you sell your old motors? This one had just over 90k miles but had a connecting rod bearing failure on one cylinder. I figure someone who is looking to build a track or drag strip car may rebuild a stock motor anyway with higher rated bearings, crankshaft, etc. I’m assuming a junkyard will offer the standard price of aluminum per pound.
Thanks
