One of the tail light at the side of the vehicle had been stop working
So I remove the bumper and try to find out why
Surprise, the tail light connector pins were pretty much "immerse" in water
The pins got oxidized
The aftermarket tail light connector has some sort of water proof but i see gap in there, so its not likely 100% water proof
The bumper light and fender light connectors has no water proof at all
Better check yours if you got those installed before its too late
I bought new connectors and pins to replace them all, including the car's original connectors.

This happened on my gen3...... I literally stopped using aftermarket stuff after a similar incident.
they cost an arm and a leg to take a bite.
Thanks for the update they look cool but I think ill stick with stock stuff...... after all longevity is toyotas game.

Next time use dielectric grease in those connections to make them waterproof.

+1 for the dielectric grease.

I have run a lot of aftermarket LED accessories (interior/exterior) over the years and have always used a dab of clear silicone on anything that would be exposed to water. Before mounting the hardware, run a thin bead of clear silicone on the exposed seams/edges, let it sit for 24 hours and then trim excess/overflow. Have never had an issues with water ingress in 15+ years.

On the other hand, had the OEM headlights on our 3rd Gen replaced under warranty within 18 months due to excessive moisture whenever the Van went through hard rain.
