Hi,

We have a 2007 AWD Sienna. We bought it about 4 years ago and the breaks have always seemed a little sketchy. Essentially, the brake pedal goes almost all the way to the floor and it just doesn't feel safe. A couple years ago, we had the brake pads, rotors replaced as well as the master cylinder. They also bled the whole system. It did not fix the brake pedal issue. Has anyone experienced this?

I heard maybe the brake booster needed replacing?

Curious anyone's thoughts. I have a non-related question as well I am about to post but thought it best to keep them separated.

Thanks!

Pete

Check your floating calipers. Should slide side to side. If stuck the rotor may become off centered within the pads so when the brakes are applied the rotor will warp til it's clamped between the pads. Takes a lot more caliper piston movement to stop (lower pedal).
