Hi,
Wife backed into a pole. It was at a really low speed, and the rear bumper on drivers side caved in a bit by a few inches. I took the bumper off, used a heat gun to gently get it back into its original shaped and popped the bumper back on. After 4 days, the BSM light on the dash has come on. Seems the sensor might be out of calibration, or worse has a crack and is damaged. What ever the cost of getting it all fixed will be out of pocket.
Does anyone have insight into what the calibration might cost at a body shop? Am assuming a dealer would not do this kind of calibration?
I looked up the part and it could be $800 new. Am not entirely sure the BSM is worth fixing if it’s $1400-2000 after calibration costs
Thanks for any guidance on how to approach the recalibration and what the price range might be!
