I first vacuum with my shop vac then I use the upholstery cleaning attachment that can be rented along with one of those steam carpet machines available at some supermarkets and hardware stores. I vacuum again after the carpet is dry and then spray with 3m carpet scotchguard

I bought a 05 a year ago. I don't drive it that much but I wanted it to be clean. The inside was trashed!

Items used: Superclean diluted 4:1, drill brush, vacuum and pressure washer

Mats: I put them out in the sun, vacuumed them, then pressure washed it to push any dirt out, then sprayed it liberally with superclean, the dirty spots get more, allow it to work into the fibers for about 1-2 minutes, then used a drill brush to agitate, sometimes I had to repeat it until I was happy with the results. Then pressure washed it out until it was clean. After that I pressed as much water out of the mats as possible. Then let it sit out in the sun to dry.

Inside carpets: Vacuumed, sprayed superclean solution into the carpet, use brush to agitate, vacuum. Rinse and repeat until satisfied.
