*I have a 2006 Sienna with about 154K miles on it. Cracks have started to appear in the dashboard, which seem to be cosmetic only. Is there any kind of filler I can put in these cracks to stop the spread? It looks like someone took an Exacto knive and randomly carved lines on the dash. I am in FL, so the car gets hot.

I used to have a 2006 Sienna. Toyota had a recall at some point and replaced my dashboard.
You may want to check with your dealer or online.

The warranty was only 10 years. Even though my dashboard is a hot mess (6 years in FL), when I took it to the dealer inside the 10 years they had no fix at the time and didn't record my visit so no warranty replacement for me.

I think my plan is to find a used dashboard from a cooler climate and replace it myself. Or get a cheap dash cover. Or just live with it and ignore it.

Yes, I am a little bit bitter about it.

We took advantage of the warranty replacement for our '04 when the dash started showing cracks. That was probably 4 or 5 years ago. I don't know if Toyota still offers it but it won't hurt to ask a dealer.

Mine is 2005 and I just asked the local Toyota dealer if can fix under recall... He knew right away and got it done for free under recall.
So ask yur dealer and other dealers till one said yes, free replacement..
And I got it done in 2017-2018..

Thanks for the coverlay link. Never heard of them and they look like a good option. Carpeted dash covers have always seemed to me like they would be difficult to clean.

Whatever you do, don't try to repair the cracks with one of those kits you find online. I used one on our 2006 and it looked OK for a year or so. Now the filler has turned dark grey and looks terrible.

The Coverlay looks real good. Allmost factory. Looks better than the dash carpets, and a dang site bettern a rotting dash pad. I don't know the cost of a new one,and a salvage part is still an old pad. The Coverlay is a couple hundred bucks, and very easy to install. It will completely cover the factory pad. I think they would be worth the money. I was about to buy one for my 04, before it was totaled in a wreck. The replacement 04 has a pristine interior. The dash pad may have already been replaced before I got the car. Seems like this is a pretty common issue with the Sienna.

An option not mentioned is repair the cracks. I have many years ago repaired interior vinyl with a repair kit from the local parts store. The cracks should be fairly small about an inch long you might be able to do longer something like a butterfly bandage to pull it together. I recently bought a 3M Leather & Vinyl Repair Kit #08579. The kit comes with detailed instructions. The caveat is you have to mix your color.

The "warranty enhancement" ended, if I remember correctly, on May 31, 2017. The dashboard is a quite expensive part, so I wouldn't throw this kind of money on a vehicle this age to replace it. Moreover, replacing dashboard is not a very trivial job, and there is a good chance that something will be screwed up after replacement. In my case, it was a mechanical (radio falling apart from the dash) and (possibly though not certainly) some electrical problems.
