Hi All,

I'm looking to get some crossbars for my 2015 Sienna LE. We have a camping canoe (plastic Old Town) that we would like to take camping and would primarily use them for hauling that.

I asked the local dealer if OEM crossbars are available and they said the ones for this model year have been discontinued, but they did have a set in stock for $140. They didn't provide a part number, but a quick search returns this: PT278-08170.

Can anyone provide the OEM part number or confirm if this is the right one? Also, suggestions for aftermarket crossbars given the primary use will be hauling the canoe?

Thanks,

Brickhouse

I had a similar question . In short, it appears the crossbars sold for any year 3rd gen will work with any other year 3rd gen:

As to aftermarket, I saw nothing that was less than 2-3x the cost of OEM crossbars. Some of it may be more useful for certain applications, but if you are just hauling a canoe, I’m not sure there are any advantages to the aftermarket ones.

Thanks for the reference to that thread, that was exactly what I ran into, couldn't find a part number that was listed as compatible for the 2015.

That’s the right part number. I recently purchased through elm hurst Toyota through their Amazon storefront. Just under that price shipped to my door.

Thanks for confirming the P/N. Looks like the dealers around me will sell them for just under $100 if purchased online (vs $140 in-person). I'll likely go this route.

Any idea of the max capacity of these? Seems like the canoe will be no problem, the MFG calls it out at ~80lbs.
