cupholder

On the cupholder that retracts into the dash,apparently something has gotten in behind it as it won't retract all the way into the dash.Went by the dealer yesterday and the guy who came out to look at it had no clue.It seems there should be some way to pull the unit out without removing half the dash to reach it.Any body else had this problem?

I now have the same problem, did you figure out how to get it un-stuck? Any help is greatly appreciated!
