I see crazy stuff on the road everyday, so all of my cars have dash cams (I won't drive without them)

Even have a YouTube channel dedicated to my own daily driving experiences (scroll down to "My Dash Cam Videos")

https://www.youtube.com/user/98snakeeater

Anyways, I didn't go all out on my new Sienna like I've done with my other cars, but I did do a basic front/rear/interior cam setup

For front and rear, I used a Mini 0906

For the interior, a B1W

Both are from BlueSkySea, but there are plenty of knockoff names these models are sold under and they're all pretty much the same

For the cameras mounted up front, nothing was disassembled and the wires were simply tucked in between the headliner and weatherstripping.

Same for the rear camera cable when I simply stuck it under the 3rd tow seat control buttons

That being said, I recently took the time to fish the cable through the hatch wiring tube grommet in order to mount the camera on the glass itself, which required popping off the wiper motor cover and dropping the switch panel.

Just last week while driving from Orlando to NY, I stopped off in Georgia to fill up and caught this wreck as it took place :surprise:

Forgot to mention the cameras are hardwired to the fuse panel with LVC Parking Kits

Basically, the dash cams work normally when the ignition is turned on, but when it's turned off, it goes into parking mode, which records at a lower frame rate (you can also set it to record when there's motion in the field of view)

The parking kits also have an adjustable Low Voltage Cutoff to prevent battery drain.

Great write up and thank you for posting this info up.

I have never had one but looks like the wave of the future. I have seen some Insurance places that want to have a unit plugged in to the DLC3 connector. OUCH. Big Brother is watching you.

It's ignorant to label all Japanese modified vehicles "ricers" when I don't see anything "rice" with those cars. In essence, you're a ricer too. The pot calling the kettle black.
