What happens when you scan the QR code?
I am not sure how to scan. I guess there is nothing to do with scanning and make it work to play.

Thanks
That only works for the front screen.
It supposed to work after screen according to the manual....

Thanks

Use your camera on your phone to focus on the QR code. You should get a popup about going to a web site that the QR code is indicating. Click on the popup to go to the web site.

Depending upon which phone you have, you may have to download a QR Scanner app first.
Scanned it, and it's a link to download EZCast
I have smart view option which is same function as EZ cast...

I am trying to connect USB 2.0 to watch avi files from my hard drive.
Meanwhile (Chrysler Pacifica), the competition will have built in FireTV for auto so you can watch Prime, Hulu, Netflix without cumbersome dongles lying about the cabin. Wish Toyota would at least add this.

To be clear, you are criticizing Toyota for not including a technology that is not available on any MY2021 vehicle? I agree that integrated streaming will be great. We use a Roku Ultra and it works flawlessly with the RES, would be cool if it were included. But not a big expense or difficulty to add.
OK, the other minivans have DVD/Bluray players available now. Whereas the Sienna's pricey version is just a dumb monitor basically. And next year, it'll fall further behind.
Highly recommend going this route.. I have 2tb of SSD media / mp4 files attached to this little box and it is dynamite, the kids are able to use the remote from all 4 rear seats and the wireless headphones + wired rear headphones work perfectly.

Also, all these streaming services don't make a ton of sense in a van IMO -- you will eat up colossal amounts of wireless bandwidth streaming shows, plus who knows if you will have good cellular connectivity where you're travelling.. even worse if the kids get used to it working and then it stops working intermittently through your travels..

I'm all-in on the 2TB SSD pre-filled with every possible movie and show you would want to watch, organized in simple folders, with clear filenames and year of release in the filename, though the media companies probably don't like this idea.. 😉

For us, "SmartView" on Andorid -> MiraCast (RrSystem in Sienna) works like magic. Nothing else needed. I had an old S7 laying around that I have turned over to kids (10 and 5). S7 hooks up to hotspot on my Note 10. That is all there is to it. Kids have their Netflix/Youtube/Prime working out nice. S7 has wireless charging too so keeping it juiced up is easy on the front wireless charger.

Apple is another story. They don't like people breaching their eco-$ystem. If you're really an apple person, get a cheapy Android phone for the car. $100 gets you an amazing phone that will do the trick.

I tried with an old OnePlus 6 and I couldn't get anything to work... but I hope it does work for Android folks at least!

May be I should say Android on Samsung. SmartView is their version of MiraCast. I have it working on multiple Samsungs with one as old as S7 (2016).
